My grandfather started a factory in China. My dad runs it today. I grew up in the factory with accountants.

Then came school overseas, a career in Canada and international trade in South America, then San Francisco.

In SF, I kept meeting founders getting burned while sourcing. $30K wired to an “Alibaba factory” that turned out to be a trading company. Six weeks lost on samples that came back wrong. Deals that died because nobody on the founder's side spoke Mandarin or knew a single person on the floor to push the deal fast enough.

I'd had the answer the whole time. Three generations of real factory relationships. Native Mandarin. 370+ factories I can call by name in my family's network. I started TJ Sourcing to put all of that on the founder's side of the table.
